Erosion Control and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Planning
Erosion control and stormwater treatment is regulated by FDEP and county agencies during construction and land disturbance activities. Development of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans and erosion control monitoring is required by regulatory agencies in order for permitted activities to occur. The use of innovative techniques and specifically designed erosion control systems are encouraged in order to prevent or limit erosion and sedimentation problems during and after land disturbance and construction activities.
FELSI has experience permitting and developing Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP). FELSI can assist in identifying Best Management Practices (BMP), combining BMPs, overseeing correct installation of BMPs, inspection BMPs, and maintaining BMPs during and after construction to minimize impacts caused by uncontrolled erosion and sedimentation on the construction site. FELSI currently has four (4) FDEP certified stormwater management inspectors on staff.
